"Three cups and saucers - If they could speak it would be in a language of delicacy, grace and fragility. There is here in evidence another unutterable language - the language of paint. The artist's love of its substance and the color it imparts are plain to see. Simple arrangements of horizontal ellipses are enlivened by the act of loading a brush with paint over and over again; then laying the strokes on top or beside each other until the objects and setting scintillate, but with nuance and subtlety"
